Buildings such as castles and palaces, churches and monasteries, or half-timbered houses and museums have a particular fire risk - and are unfortunately also regularly affected by fire incidents. The damage is not only enormous in monetary terms, irretrievable cultural assets are lost. Major fires like the one in Notre-Dame de Paris in April 2019 hit the cultural memory of an entire nation. TechnicalSolutions alone cannot solve the problem - the “human factor” is decisive. A network of partners in research, industry and practice will research a new type of technical-operational solution here. The psychological project in the network is dedicated to questions of optimal alerting, information and permanent motivation of first aiders. Using central theories of motivation and user experience, research is carried out into how laypeople can be involved in fire protection in a practically meaningful way.This app is used to simulate alarms from fire protection workers and as the basis for a later productive app, which should actively support fire protection.
